“Chocks away chaps!”
Another character design. It’s Flight Lieutenant ‘Know-Owl’ of RAF Who Knows!
A colour sketch of Howell the Owl for a private client. One of several animals in a fiction series. Howell is a typical wise owl, but I rather liked the idea of him being a bit eccentric and so drew him as a veteran RAF Pilot, reminiscent of the character Fowler from Chicken Run. The client liked the idea and asked for goggles too, which do add a nice little touch. He has been hand scribbled and then digitally coloured. I quite the looseness of the line work and the bold colour.
