Drawing dogs
Drawing dogs is something I have found myself doing quite a lot over the years. I have been commissioned by a number of publishers and in particular Heritage Art Papers, a greetings card company that I have done quite a few doggy inspired illustrations for their cards.
Drawing dogs: today I thought I would share some of my favourites with you. All are quite cartoony in style, which is what was wanted by the clients. Some have been created using nib pen and coloured inks and others in ink and oil glazes. Heritage Art Papers produce whole ranges of cards, all featuring different animals. I have mostly completed artwork of dogs and ponies, but I have also done artwork of wetland animals too, which I will share with you on another occasion.
I also have a video about how to draw a cartoon dog, which can be found in a previous post on this site, if you want to view it. It is one of the many I completed for videojug.com. You can find all of my ‘how to draw’ videos at videojug.com, just put my name (Lyn Stone) in the search box and they will all come up for you. If you would like to view other animal illustrations, just click on my ‘subject’ link above and then choose ‘animals’.
