Egg
Egg fried rice and dim-sum aside, I found myself drawing ninjas and dragons earlier this year.
Egg-zackly that! The dragon is incredibly friendly (even if at first everybody gets that wrong) and the ninja is a little girl, called Emiri. This book is now published! Others can be found in my children’s fiction folio.

Spotty!
It is a Japanese dragon with difference. This dragon can just magically fly without wings! I have also created him with a slightly daft, toothless grin. Now I know you can see one tooth but ironically when you draw something with only one tooth showing. It gives the impression of a rather toothless character. I had no idea that this would work but it does! What do you think? The author insisted on spots, which I love as they give the dragon a sort of cheerful disposition. I have created rather scary-looking dragons in the past and have included one in this post. You may be thinking, “is this the same artist.” I create many different dragons, well I seem to anyway! So have artwork in different styles but have now settled on a more picture-book friendly style. As you can see the dribble dragon below is a tad revolting but perfect for the author’s book. This dragon loved custard tarts. Yep, custard tarts and so it had a sticky end. Here’s what Wikipedia have to say about dragons.
