Facebook Dragon
My Facebook dragon illustration for an iPad gel-skin is now available for ‘liking’ on Facebook. I need as many people as possible to like my illustration, because that’s how I shall win this competition.

I decided to go with a children’s illustration for this and I wanted it to have a bit of humour. So my dragon isn’t particular mean-looking, more daft-looking in actual fact. I had to include a startled bird, because I think a bird would be quiet shocked to encounter a dragon in mid-flight. I know I would be anyway (if I could fly!).
It has been created using a mixture of nib pen and watercolours. The watercolour techniques I have used are wet-in-wet, droplets of concentrated colour and to be honest hurling the watercolours across the paper to create an almost textile effect. I have used a bright but limited palette for more impact and I hope everyone likes it enough to give me a ‘like’. So go on all those blog readers out there, give me a fighting chance and like Lyn!
