Goblins and monsters
Goblins and monsters are a favourite for most children, both boys and girls. As a consequence they are very popular with publishers too!
Goblins and monsters: Over the years I have been fortunate enough to work on many commissions involving, giants, boggarts, monsters, fairies and Goblins. I have also produced many samples and pieces of artwork just for the pure pleasure of drawing them. I have completed commissions for Templar Publishing, Oxford University Press and Kidspace Adventures Ltd – all involving monsters and creepy things!
To add to my grand role of monsters recently I got to create and draw Skibblers and Rumpletump for the book Hobbledown, and there will be more skibblers in the next book, so watch out!
Today I thought I would share with you not only some finished artwork, but also the sketches where I developed characters. I think it is always interested to see an artist’s thoughts of paper, as the development stage of an illustration. All the artwork today is black and white, tomorrow it’s full colour!
