My Studio Assistant

And, yes, he’s furry with whiskers and tends to squeak a lot. Louis Cat is quite a character and my Studio Assistant. Louis often helps out in my studio (clears throat). His favourite jobs include: walking over sketches and reviewing my artwork (by sitting on it)! I hasten to add, no artwork is harmed in the making of this process. His contributions to my work so far have been destroying my MacBook Pro in one single pounce. He also likes licking paint, which he then spits out. I am trying my best to discourage that rather dangerous habit, as some pigments are not colours one should nibble. My kitty will hopefully be posting monthly updates on his valued work in my studio. He has also informed that he has very wild catty adventures, which he will share. If you wish to contact him, you can e-meow him here, but he will require treats and a tickle under his chin.

He was a rescue kitten that I took on from Cats in Crisis and is now far from being in crisis and is indulged outrageously! He is a marvellous addition to my studio and has actually inspired me in many ways.

I know there is this tired cliché about black cats being harbingers of bad luck and so I’ve joined the clever cat lovers who celebrate the beauty and good fortune of coal-black kitties. Although (to be honest) Louis does have a small white bow-tie. I think most of us are probably most familiar with the domestic shorthair that’s all black, but apparently there are quite a few pure bred, pedigree black kitties too! I think the breeds with the most fun name is the Ragamuffin and Bombay! Anyway I hope you like the pixies (he’s really quite vain).
