Hello

Hello again, my dear readers and friends. If you are only the former then I hope that you soon will be the latter, too. I hope you will stop by often. And bring cake.

Hello: So what’s been going on? Well, I’ve moved house, for a start, I’m now down by the sea, not far from Whitstable and the sunsets that inspired Turner. (They really are incredible.) When I say ‘by the sea’ of course I don’t mean I’m living on the beach in an upturned boat knitting fishing-nets, oh no, I have what they used to call a Des. Res. of my own, with a north-facing conservatory. I intend to use it as a studio when it gets warmer – it’s a bit too chilly in the wintertime. So here I am, new year, new house, new focus.

And I’m back in the blog-o-sphere, or the wild, wild web, or whatever it’s called this week. I am determined to take advantage of the global exposure that can be gained from this electronic journal so here I am (again) going global. I’m here!. And there! And over there, by the pot plant. (waves)

Of course I have been continuing with my illustrations – there’s not a lot that can keep me from drawing. Here’s a recent piece for a peek-o-boo book. 

If you have any commissions, please get in touch, I’m always up for a new challenge. I was told recently that I’m very good at animals. I hope I’m quite good at a lot of things, but it’s nice to be told that. I’m trying to work out a new project of my own, with some new ideas. I think it might turn into something special, and I hope that you’ll be around to see it come to fruition.
